In celebration of Chinese New Year, Yauatcha is reinventing the Chinese lantern with help from leading London artists.

From Monday 5th February until Sunday 4th March, Yauatcha is hosting unique art installations from two of the brightest lights in the design world: Lydia Kasumi Shireff and Jamie Julian Brown.

“Queen of paper sculpture” Lydia Kasumi Shireff is paying homage to the traditional art form of ‘kirigami’ paper cutting in her unique installation in Yauatcha City. Comprising of 48 hand-cut paper lanterns of brushed gold and red card, her installation draws inspiration from brutalist and modernist architecture and reflects the high-rise cityscape of Broadgate Circle with geometric 3D effects.

During Chinese New Year, a celebratory menu and exclusive patisserie and macarons will be available, featuring dishes inspired by the annual festivities. View the menu here
