In celebration of Chinese New Year, Yauatcha is reinventing the Chinese lantern with help from leading London artists.

From Monday, February 5th until Sunday, March 4th, Yauatcha is hosting unique art installations from two of the brightest lights in the design world: Lydia Kasumi Shireff and Jamie Julien Brown.

Jamie Julien Brown‘s art was spotted in the Met Museum, New York City, where his piece ‘mini totem lights’ showed similarities with the traditional Chinese lantern shape in form and vibrancy of colour. His art installation at Yauatcha Houston evolves the totem sculptures, creating hanging lanterns inspired by the diverse colour palette of Yauatcha’s dim sum and patisserie.

During Chinese New Year, a celebratory menu and exclusive patisserie and macarons will be available, featuring dishes inspired by the annual festivities. View the menu here
