On Thursday May 18th in Houston, more than 65 guests caught the ‘Miami fever’ at The Webster to celebrate a collaboration with Asia’s iconic luxury department store, Lane Crawford. Yauatcha Houston was present to host the collaboration. While guests enjoyed patisserie and a pop-up tea experience, co-hosts Mandy Kao and Yauatcha Houston’s Marketing Manager Gigi Huang introduced Dr. Andrea Caracostis, MD, MPH, CEO of the HOPE Clinic, the beneficiary of the event.
Executive Pastry Chef Juan Pablo Colubri prepared some of Yauatcha’s signature patisserie selections, including the tropical dome, the chocolate pebble, the red fruits mascarpone, the apple vanilla choux and the cassis grand macaron, as well as select tea offerings from Indian, Chinese and Japanese origins.
The HOPE Clinic was established in 2002 by the Asian American Health Coalition as a volunteer-run, non-profit clinic, providing culturally and linguistically competent care for Houston’s under-served and linguistically isolated Asian communities. HOPE Provides health care services to all regardless of the patient’ ability to pay.
