Yauatcha Houston is encouraging guests to support global humanitarian organization Action Against Hunger and help provide support for the millions of undernourished people across the globe.
From November 1 to December 31, guests who dine at Yauatcha will be presented with the opportunity to give to Action Against Hunger. At the end of their meal, those who wish to donate will be able to mark down an amount of their choosing to benefit the charity, knowing that $0.93 of every donated dollar goes directly to program activities in the organization. At the beginning of the new year, Hakkasan Group will donate the total amount collected from each of its restaurants across the United States, aiding Action Against Hunger in its mission to end undernutrition in all its forms by 2030.
About Action Against Hunger
Action Against Hunger is the world’s hunger specialist and leader in a global movement that aims to end life-threatening hunger for good within our lifetimes. For 40 years, the humanitarian and development organization has been on the front lines, treating and preventing hunger across nearly 50 countries. It served more than 21 million people in 2018 alone.
Action Against Hunger’s programs include nutrition and health programs, water and hygiene education, food security and livelihood improvement, and emergency response teams for conflicts and natural disasters. The programs address important worldwide issues by actions such as increasing the number of children who are screened for undernutrition, strengthening infrastructure for clean water and good hygiene, providing support for families to purchase food and grow crops, and alleviating the suffering of those in crisis.
